About Rajaji National Park
The Park spans over an area of 820sq. Km which includes Rajaji, Motichur and Chilla wildlife sanctuaries, and parts of Dehradun,Siwalik and Lansdowne Forest Divisions. These three sanctuaries were amalgamated in 1983 to Rajaji National Park, named after the Late Raja Gopal Chariya.
The majestic Ganges flows through the National Park for a distance of 24km, besides the innumerable streams and brooks making it rich and diverse. It offers ample opportunities to nature lovers to enjoy the captivating landscape and wildlife.
Book NowRajaji is thickly foliated predominantly by the Sal Forest and a number of other forest types which include the Western Gangetic Moist and Northern dry Deciduous and Khair-Sissoo forests. Low Alluvial Savannah Woodlands cover the drier southern margins of the park, in contrast to the Siwalik Chir-Pine on the high reaches of the hills.
About Rajaji National Park there are no use of insecticides and pesticides in the whole retreat. We grow our own vegetables and over 14 herbs which undoubtedly are organic and used in the meals prepared for our guests.

Major animals found in this park are Asian Elephant, Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Wild Cat, Indian Hare, Barking Deer, Sambar, Indian Langur, Sloth Bear, Jackal, Himalayan Yellow-throated marten, Goat-like Goral, etc. Commonly seen birds in the park are Pea Fowl, Kingfisher, Barbet, Pheasant, Woodpecker, etc supplemented by a number of migratory birds during the winter season. Reptiles found in the park are Common Cobra, King Cobra, Common Lizard, Monitor Lizard, Python, etc.

Corbett National Park
India's first and finest park spread over 520 sq. kms. along the banks of the Ramganga river, just 300 kms. northeast of Delhi in the foothills of the Himalayas is the Corbett National Park. 110 Spices of trees, 51 species of shrubs and over 33 species of bamboo are found here. There are three distinct seasons in Corbett, Cold Nov. to feb., Hot- March to June, Rainy- July to Oct. Over 50 mammal, 580bird and 25 reptile species have been listed in the Corbett. Also astounding is the insect life here. Corbett is a known haven for tigers, largely owing to the success of WWF funded project-tiger that was launched on 1st April 1973. Other animals which add to its attraction are : Leopard, Leopard cat, Jungle cat, Fishing cat, Himalayan black Bear, Dhole, Yellow-Throated Morten, Elephant, Porcupine, Chital, Barking deer etc. Some of the birds commonly seen here are osprey, crested serpent Eagle, Black winged kite, Shikra, Pallas's fishing eagle, spotted eagle, Minivets, shrikes, Babblers etc.

Local Transport : Coaches and jeeps can be hired from the National Park office at Ramnagar. Elephants are available for wildlife viewing at Dhikala, khinanauli and Bijrani. Elephant rides conducted every morning and evening.

Won’t it be a nice experience if you get to surf without using a surf board? It would certainly be great isn’t it, to just let the current guide you while you take on the waves. What is more interesting is that you get to manoeuvre your body like a skilful and playful seal while you body surf riding the waves. All you need is to streamline your body and you are free to surf as long as you desire. Although only a pair of swim fins is needed for body surfing, some other gears that you can carry with you , includes hand paddles, wave blades, hand guns and the likes. These will help you gain more speed and will also help you with tackle the waves in a better manner. However, you can lose the fins if you want to, but keeping it on will make it more fun and easy for you.
If you have some time to kill then body surfing in Rishikesh is an ideal bet for you. However, before you enter the icy waters, it would be better to have an introductory session with the masters of the game, the professional surfers. Cliff Jumping

Height of Cliff Jump in Rishikesh
The river current of the Ganges under the Cliff is mild. The height of the jump varies according to the water level of the ganges, which is controlled by the Tehri Dam and varies gradually through the day. The average height of the jump is around 20 feets. However, around the end of season (June) the height is about 10 feets only.
