Itinerary
- Freshen Up and Registration on arrival.
- Post lunch acclimatization walk to Pulag village
- Orientation for the trek in the evening.
- Overnight stay at Rumsu base camp.
- Commence the day with a jeep ride for Hamta Dam, the starting point of the trek.
- The trek to Chikka starts from the Dam and takes around 2-3 hours to complete it.
- Chikka represents one of the most majestic experiences of river side camping surrounded by huge mountains and waterfalls.

- Commence the trek by 7 AM for Balu Ka Ghera camp after breakfast.
- The initial part of the trek goes through the bank of the river crossing a few rock boulders followed by a river crossing.
- The trek happens to be a moderate level as it goes above tree line scaling to an altitude of 11,900 feet.
- Balu ka Ghera is a large plain ground on the bank of the river and camping at this spot is a dream in reality. One can spot Indrasan, the highest peak of Manali valley from here.
- Overnight stay in tents at Balu Ka Ghera Camp.
- Start early by 4 am for the pass to take advantage of hard snow.
- The trek starts with a moderate climb for 4 hrs until one reaches the Pass at 14,000 ft.
- The aerial views of Spiti valley from Hamta Pass is quite breathtaking.
- The descent from the pass falls steep and takes around 4 hours to reach Shia Goru Cam(12,800 ft)

- The day starts after morning breakfast for Chatru and takes around 3 hours.
- Once at Chatru, after some hot lunch continue with a jeep ride(3 hr) for Chandrataal.
- Chandrataal at 14,280 feet never misses to impress one from it’s stunning beauty and the view of the amazing mountain landscapes surrounding it.
- Ride back to Chatru for overnight stay.
- Note: Members will receive their extra luggage, if deposited on the starting day at base camp at Chatru.
- Start the day in a bit relaxed way, for we would be left with just a ride to take us back to Manali.
- The ride from Chatru to Gramphoo falls to be off-road followed by the traverse through the famous Atal Tunnel to Manali.
- Departure from Manali by 3 PM.
- Note: The return from Chatru happens via Spiti road and very rarely there can be a sce-nario of road block. So either book your Volvo tickets late by 10 pm of the same day or keep a buffer day..
